These paintings are based on a collection of over 52 bonsai. The series will be complete when all of the bonsai have been painted. Every bonsai tells a story. These paintings are based in part on the idea that there is a shared consciousness between the bonsai and the bonsaist.

After completing The Bonkers Devotional, video installation, Keading produced a series of 10 small oil paintings and 4 small charcoal drawings relating to the project. Instead of brushes or other external tools, she used only her fingers to create these paintings.

Keading's return to painting and drawing as a supplement to her video installations began with the Wish Drawings series. The series consists of charcoal drawings of Dandelions, deteriorating before her eyes as she drew. Charcoal falling down the paper, reels the action of drawing.
